The YRF provides numerous activities to recovering service members and their families. We distribute tickets to sporting and cultural events that are donated to us. We conduct tours of Civil War battlefields and offer visits to the Washington Navy Yard, the B&O Railroad Museum, the Hershey’s Chocolate Factory and more. We sponsor concerts and barbecues at the Mologne House Courtyard at Walter Reed as well as celebrations of holidays and annual events such as Cinco de Mayo and Oktoberfest.  Monthly Meet & Greets, tabletop football tournaments and quiet ceramics afternoons all provide moments of entertainment as well as escape from the trials of a hospital setting.
