The benefits of drinking wine will be greatest on Sept 9 and Nov 11 (Veterans Day), when 20% of all wine purchased at the 4th Floor Wine Bar will benefit the Yellow Ribbon Fund. The wine bar, located on the 4th floor of Prequel (918 F St NW), is open from 5:30-10pm with happy hour specials till 7pm. Tell all your friends to come enjoy some vino with us on these two days, and when ordering, to either show the wine bar staff a print-out of this notice, or show it to them on your phone so they’ll know to donate 20% to support YRF. Talbots in Annapolis Tribute to Caregivers

Caregiver Jess Klein will talk about her experiences caring for her husband who was injured in Afghanistan in 2012. Plus enjoy refreshments, door prizes, and shop for fall fashions and a great cause — part of the proceeds will be donated to the Yellow Ribbon Fund. Event starts at noon at the Talbots in Annapolis Town Center.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2015, Reston, Va.:
2015 Wounded Warriors Golf Classic

Hidden Creek Country Club hosts a 27-hole modified Ryder Cup format. The 128-player field, including injured service members, will be drafted into two teams that will compete in three 9-hole matches. The all-day festivity includes dinner, prizes, charity auction, and awards.

2015 Flag Football Classic

The YRF TUF Team and Ambassador Program will be raising awareness at this event and accepting an award for all they do to help heal our veterans who have both seen and unseen wounds. New York donors, ambassadors, supporters, and volunteers are all invited to come on out and join us! Game starts at 11am.

OCTOBER 10, 2015, Washington, DC:
DC Red Dress Run

The hosts of one of the largest hashing events in the country are celebrating their 22nd year with two 2s – or tutus – AND they’re raising funds for the Yellow Ribbon Fund. Anyone who donates over $25 will get early admission and access to the private VIP-only bar area. They’re planning an amazing beer check, great food, rockin’ music, and more red dresses than any man or woman can hope to get into! Registrations will be capped at 600, so be sure to sign up early and take advantage of tiered pricing levels: the earlier you sign up, the more you save. Online registration is open from April 1 to Oct 8.
